TELEPEN barcode reader ID cards are now available in both card and plastic types.  

The widely-used card type can be supplied laminated or with a self-seal plastic wallet for where the user needs to insert further information at the time off issue. 

The plastic, credit card style, cards are now available printed both sides in black or colour with any combination of text and graphics, including logos and photographs. Although these plastic cards are slightly more expensive than the simple card type, their very long life makes them far more cost-effective. When compared to laminated cards or card plus wallet, the long life plastic ID card is actually cheaper. 

In addition to barcoded cards, magnetic stripe and smart card types are also available.
