The Sentry Access Control System for Windows NT controls access to facilities such as Libraries ,reading rooms, Computer suites and any area where access requires monitoring, provides a variety of reports and analyses of usage.
Designed, initially, with the academic Library in mind and including features specific to a Library's needs, SENTRY was developed in consultation with a number of potential users and is now in operation in over 40 sites.
Each controlled area has its own PC running the SENTRY software, linked to up to 16 entrances and/or exits with any combination of Turnstiles, Disabled gates, beam-breaker barriers and doors. These can be equiped with controllers incorporating barcode, smart card or magnetic stripe readers.

Sentry Offers you a variety of ways to define a members access rights.
You can set default access rights for a specific category of member, which are then assigned automatically when a new member record is added.
The access rights you can define include:
the entrance and exits which a member can use.
the days of the week a member can enter.
and, for each day, the times when access is permitted.
